The Anatomical Society of Ghana is a learned society. Its aims are to promote, develop and advance research and education in all aspects of anatomical science.
The Society aims to inspire the next generation of anatomists by supporting their training. Anatomical Society Zone Two has a 2/3-year MPhil in Human Anatomy and Cell Biology and MPhil Human Anatomy and Forensic Science Programmes for young biomedical scientists/bioscientists/medics/dentists who wish to learn and teach topographical anatomy/developmental Anatomy/microscopic anatomy at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The Society works closely with other anatomical societies and associations in Africa, Europe, America and the West Africa College of Morphologists and is a member of the International Federation of Associations of Anatomists
The majority of our Members are engaged in research and teaching in Higher Education. They work across a broad spectrum of subject areas within the anatomical sciences, including morphological aspects of cell biology, neuroscience, physical anthropology, biomechanics, bioengineering, pathological and forensic anatomy, developmental anatomy, medical, dental and veterinary anatomy.
The Anatomical Society is keen to recruit students, young researchers, teaching fellows and clinicians with an interest in anatomy.
